My fixing to be 2 year old on the 18th, got sick at 1 am this morning, her fever was 104.6, I rush her to the ER, they gave her Children's Motrin, and then they took a urine sample from her and blood work, well, the blood was ok, the urine white blood count was normal, so the doctor said that she had a virus, they told me to switch btw Children's Ty and Children's Advil, and if it is still high bathe her in cool water, but I been doing that and her fever keeps jumping from 103.6 to 104.1....I pray for her and hopefully she is going to be ok, Good Luck with yours!!!

You should consult the lil one's doctor just in case something else is going on like an ear infection, but they usually don't worry unless the fever gets up over 103. Try Tylenol, dress him/her cool, you can give him/her a Popsicle if they are really burning up. I personally would try to bring the fever down a little so your child will be more comfortable. Good Luck!

If it is just a low grade fever (100-102) give him a dose of Motrin to bring the fever down. If it get any higher take him to the Dr. Right away. An extremely high fever can cause Brain damage! 104 is dangerously high!

Don't let it burn! Use children's Advil or Motrin(it's better on fevers than Tylenol) Bring it down before it goes any higher. Children can run a much higher fever than adults before brain damage occurs. If it goes up over 105 go to the ER immediately! Good luck!

You need to talk with the child pediatrician. Fevers are good to kill what is causing the problem. However, 104 and above is high enough to cause feveral seizures. And if it is that high it may be that the child needs to be treated.
Call the doctor now and don't wait!

Our doctor told us that a fever is there to fight the infection. Keep an eye on it. I checked my son every 20 minutes or so. But I always treated it when he was going to sleep. Talk to your doc! They have answering services for this kind of situation. They definitely understand that kids get sick on Saturdays too!

If it's low and your child is not complaining then just monitor your child but don't give him/her any medicine. However sometimes fevers make children uncomfortable, if that's the case give your child some Tylenol or Motrin so he/she can rest.
