The perils of modern technology. If you live in the same town as the young lady and if you see her on a regular basis, (class, work, etc) then you should give her the courtesy of looking her in the eye when you ask her out. Text message, phone answering machine are both pretty lame. A text message that has poor spelling, and improper grammer does not carry the same weight as eye contact, holding hands, an a nice little chat before popping the question.

Yes texting is weak. She may not have gotten the text or maybe she deleted it because it costs money to read text messages. Most phone plans charge for text messages. It was pretty rude of you to ask her out and her to be charged for it. I suggest you CALL her or better yet ask her in person. Although since you were so rude to have her be charged for you to ask her out she will probably say no now.

give her a call and leave a voice message if she doesnt pick up after seeing your number appearing. Make sure its funny and not desperate or nervous(talk slow). you can go like this in your voice message ("hii, this is brad pitt calling you." wateva, it's me,the guy you met at X place,Call me!").
practice it before u call her. and make sure u got more things to say when she pick up or call back...write some stuff on paper.
And to stop being a misery for yourself, delete her number. and text u sent her where u can still retrieve that number.
Only save her number if she returns your call! Good luck dude.

Asking someone out by text message is not recommended - you should have asked her out to her face - or fialing that phoned her but even phoning her to ask her out is no substitute for saying it like you mean it face to face.

thats kind of weak, but I can see where ur comming from...maybe u should try asking her again...in a better way...maybe over the phone or in a note. maybe even in person, might would be better.
