How can 2 people that are acting this way start to have a relationship?
they need to keep people from knowing how they really feel in order to keep themselves from being hurt in a relationship.

some people get so hurt in previous relationships that this behaviour becomes their defence mechanism. one of them has to initiate things and the other has to acknowledge that they have feelings for that other person that are just as strong. they run the risk of things not working between them otherwise!

For a relationship to form one of them would have to knock a hole in the wall and start talking.

They usually dont start a relationship until someone makes a move.
Dont be too cowardis to show how you really feel.

misunderstandings keep them so in married couples. no way than to bear because of social ethics.
