Maybe that you don't have any friends. ( no offense) Or that you need some alone time and are maybe not approachable. Get out there and shop, if there is a guy behind the counter when you purchase something, ask him what he likes to do for fun, where he likes to go, and show up and tell him "what a coincedence, i love doing this also"

They probably don't think anything about it I know most guys are too distracted on getting their video games or getting clothes LOL next time when you see a guy by himself ask if you can join him but wait 20 min to make sure he is alone that way your not hitting on some other person significant other good luck to you

To meet a girl in the mall, I'd probably just go over and introduce myself, and ask her if I can sit with her because I'm not w/ anyone else either.

you need to flont it in front of them. if they see you in the food court alone then they think that yiu are avaliable to the public.

it deppends. i personaly (if she was my age) would probably go over and talk to her. but some guys are shyier, and others arnt. each guy has his own oppinion.
