I have a boyfriend and he has a good lifestyle money wise and I am poor , I mena I have a computer and everything but my house is not done getting constructed and my mom mysister and me sleep in the same room, ( my dad is in USA ) we live in Mexico, I mena it makes me sad and kind of embarrased to say that I don't have a bed , It is an inflatable bed and the three of us sleep on it. my parents say this is a stage and we will get out of it, BUT I am embarrased to tell this to my BF because he has no idea how poor I am , I don't look like a poor person because this happened when I came to Mexico and our house is what makes us poor, How shold i tell me bf ...Do you think he will think weird of me???

I don't want you to think I am being exaggerated , Im serious the second floor of my house is still in brick and there is dust on the floor its a cement floor and it is full of boxes in the top, I dont have any furniture in my house...and everything is just laying around in boxes ...the room we sleep in is with boxes and our things have to be on the floor we sleep in an inflatable bed....we also dont have any curtains we have to use old sheets as curtains....this mkes me feel bad..BUT what can I do?

The house you live in does not make you poor! Give your parents a break it sounds like better things are on the way! If your boyfriend can't handle where you live then he doesn't care about you!

bring him home to meet your family, have him have supper at your house, that way he can see that yes you are poor, but you are a loving family, and if he cant accept that he will not accept you no matter what you do.

Your house is being built so you have to do what you have in order to save money. If he leaves you because of this then you need to dump him.
