why need a border when the white americans stole the land from the red americans. white americans are descendents of smugglers and thieves, rapists. its not their country so there is no need for a border with mexico or any other country

Enforcing the immigration laws would be a start....We have SO many people coming here illegally, and trying to fix it, would short of having a police state.....Where do you find the balance? I think in some places the fence will help, but if people are so desperate, they will find a way to come, regardless of the fence.....

The problem is in Mexico.
Too many Mexican people believe they will have better lives as illegal aliens in the USA than to be citizens in Mexico. To fix that problem, the rich people in Mexico City need to invest money in building infrastructure within Mexico. Unfortunately, they're not interested, and the government does not appear to be interested enough (take Vicente Fox for instance -- he appeared to be more interested in having Mexicans abroad get a fair shake so they can send fatter paychecks back, than in anything else going on in his country).

Solution:
1. We build a man made river including but not limited to, piranhas, deadly aligators, sting rays, sharks and other deadly organisms. This will ease tensions with Greenpeace and other organizations.
2. We setup Infared Cameras that are hooked up to XBOX 360 so that way soliders can monitor the border from home and if they see someone trying to cross they simply click the B button and taser the hell out of them.
3. As for those crafty little tunnels they are building we use Earthquake Detectors to hear if anyone is drilling near our border.

It is as simple as enforcing the laws that are already in place. Maybe more border patrol...but if they were doing their job to begin with and not accepting bribes I think it would work without increased patrol. This is not assuming that all border patrol officers are "bad". I am saying this keeping in mind that society in general and laws have a way of protecting criminals. In this case illegals.

Hire more people on the enforcement end of immigration. From border patrol to ICE to anyone working in any aspect of immigration. Follow ups on overstayed visas, temporary visas, visitor visas and all that. Definate crackdown on employers who hire illegals and severe sentences for those who put out bogus SS#'s and birth certificates. Secure the "anchor baby" loophole by clarification. Penalties for human smugglers and any people, cities, counties or states, that stand in the way of enforcing the law.

About the same things needed to stop the international drug trafficking ... the demand in the US for "Illegal" workers is very high. Once that demand goes down, so will the workers .... just like illicit drugs, have the people stop using them and the suppliers will go out of business.

Take in the 'Welcome' mat.
US employers should be jailed and fines of all profits taken for any company or individual with greater than 1% of their workforce found to be illegal immigrants or people with expired or wrong visas. That goes for hiring these people through contractors or employment agencies, also.
Trust me, no fence will matter as long as the government turns a blind eye and gives the green light to corporations like ADM and Wal-Mart.

Well if Mexico wants to go to the UN about a fence then We should go to the UN about how corrupt The Mexican Govt is. We need a wall 90 feet deep and 90 feet high and on the Mexican side you oil it so no one can climb it.

I think we should put strict economic sanctions on mexico until they stop their people from crossing the border.....
If we had strict enforcement of our immigration laws the problem could be resolved within 2 years.

At least the Mexicans are not trying to invade the U.S. like other foreigners. You dont hear news reports about Mexicans bombing certain government offices. If it weren't for Mexcians and other minorities, you would never have your dirty work done.
