No, I hope there is some kind of an afterlife. But I don't understand how I will be happy there because of all the people I will have left behind. I'm hoping that the afterlife is so complex that I just can't comprehend it in the least, and that I will be happy there, and see my friend who died of brain cancer.

Absolutely not! Unless you think you're going to hell. If you live a holy and good life, then why would you not want an afterlife? Take your happiest memory and multiply that happiness by a billion. That's not even close to what heaven will be like. Sounds pretty awesome to me!

I don't believe there is an afterlife. I enjoy living this life, in the best way that I can.

If there isn't an afterlife then we are all on our own. Free to do what we wish. Self worship would be rampant. I don't do well with that kind of freedom. I would be living under a bridge.

Don't have to, as there isn't. There are the resurrections, either to heaven for those born again, or later to everlasting (not immortal) life on earth.

No, why would you want to die out of total existence? I'd rather kick it up in heaven wearing my gold halo showing off my wings but hey, that's just me. Seriously though think about it, dying and then never existing would suck....
