On a '96 Windstar, that usually means you need to have your brakes replaced because the fluid level in your master cylinder has decreased enough to turn the light on, usually BOTH the ABS and red brake light on a Windstar. If there are no DTCs for ABS, there are TWO common problems that cause the symptom you describe. One is a broken or cracked exciter ring on either one of your front axle's halfshaft. The other is inside the rear brake drum where the rear wheel speed sensors sit, the gap between the sensor SHOULD be between 0.020 to 0.030 of an inch. More often than not, the gap becomes greater through age, in which the simple fix is to "adjust" the gap to the aforementioned specs. Hope this helps.

If the your vehicle has lengthy previous to three diverse shops and their code reader detected a fault with a similar code and has been replaced with a sparkling one then the project might want to lye in the a defective cord to or from the numerous computer. reckoning on the code reader they were using might want to no longer have the potential to finish a function which will reset version or exhibit screen the suspected section. some previous due variety vehicles have the potential of flashing the promenade chip in the computer that fixes any well-known insects in the chip. I advise taking the vehicle to the GMC broking because they have the right try equipment to exhibit screen and finished certain activation attempt to isolate the project. Your probabilities of them searching the criminal is a lot likely than a shop that doesn't have the right equipment. in the journey that they do pinpoint the project rapidly they'll call u provide an precise estimate to fix it. and that is at the same time as u settle on if this is no longer well worth fixing. yet provide them a try. It beats financing a sparkling vehicle and holding the more advantageous money for extra important issues. solid success!

It is low in fluid, Ford had an issue with this, if the fluid was just a little low it would cause this. The bulletin called for cutting 1 of the wires on the resivor, I recommend takeing to the dealer for the wire cutting. Try adding fluid and be sure to check the front brake pads.
