Well I live in California and worked as a Nanny and a babysitter when I was younger. The going rate here is minimum $10 an hour and if you have more than 2 children and expecially young ones you charge $15 an hour. I had a babysitter twice and I was even home at the time and I still paid her $10 an hour. Now depending on where you live it may be different, but the cost of living in California is outrageous.

It depends on the area you live in, age of the sitter, and their experience. Ask friends and neighbors to see what they are paying
Teenagers..less experience...2-3 an hour
Young adults...bit more experience 3-5 an hour
someone with experience working with children..priceless..

IT DEPENDS ON HOW LONG THEY WATCH THEM. IT'S ABOUT $3:00 IN HOUR, YOU CAN USUALLY ASK THE BABY SITTER HOW MUCH DOES SHE USUALLY MAKE BABYSITTING.

It depends on where you live...what the cost of living is. I'm in the keys and we pay $10/hr. per kid.
