I stopped smoking 6 months ago and haven't started again. I did it gradually, sort of weaned myself off. I made a rule that I could only smoke after I got home from work. Then, when that was no longer difficult, I started only smoking after 8pm. Then I made a one cigarette a day rule. After awhile, I realized I didn't need that one cigarette a day anymore and I just quit. That worked for me, but everyone is different. Try to avoid being around people who are smoking, that still gets me sometimes. When I walk past someone who is smoking and I smell it, I feel like I could just about tackle them to the ground to get just one drag. But the longer you go, the easier it gets. Good luck, you're gonna need it!

Im on my third go at giving up (2 years cigarette free this time). You have to be ready to give up or the craving is worse.. Speak to your Dr. You can be given a "smoking partner" where if things are getting difficult you can phone your partner for support. Patches are good but i did get really weird dreams from them, I only used them for 1 week to get over the initial craving, then its psycological. Keep your hands busy doing other things, maybe file your nails when you feel the need for a cigarette. Good Luck

I feel you. I quit for a year and started again myself. But now I have been smoking for about a year after relapse. You quit before, so just try your same technique. I slowly started limiting the amount I smoke when I quit. But one day I got real stressed out and smoked. But I don't drink or do anything else. So this was my outlet. Not a good vice at all and now I am paying for it. Just try your same technique you used before and see if it works. Remember, smoking cigarettes is not a habit. It is an addiction. Take care love!

It's really not that hard, just DON'T DO IT! Stop buying cigarettes. The problem with smokers is that they always lie and say that they are trying to quit, but somehow they always seem to have cigarettes. It's not that hard, just don't do it!!!!!!!

If you quit three years ago, then you can do it again. Just have faith in yourself and good luck.
