Take off seat belt. Read, start a conversation with fellow passengers, (if they are willing to talk). Look out window and try to figure out what city is down there. More reading.

First, I stare out the window during takeoff, and daydream.

After we are up in the clouds, I flip through a magazine. Til they come around with beverages and something salty and crunchy.

Then I usually switch to a book, while I munch.

After they collect the trash from beverage service, I try to doze.

When I feel the plane starting to make a descent for landing, I freshen my lipstick, put my reading materials away and pop in an Altoid mint.

I eagerly look out the window, trying to figure out what I am seeing, as we circle around for landing.

I do NOT yimmer yammer to my seat mate, during flight.

Depends on what airline u r on. For a regular no TV airlines, I put my earphone on, then listen to my favorite song. Then fall asleep. But I make sure to tell the airhostess to wake me up for lunch or dinner. Take a nice nap and u r at ur destination!
If it is ur 1st/one of the 1st few flights u can take pictures or look out the window and enjoy the clouds..... if u get bored observe people....

Depending on the destination (work related, visiting, going home). So it's usually going over reports, notes, agenda planning, reading a book/mag, write a note to send to one of my kids when I land, soduku puzzle, listen to CD. If the right person is next to me then some chit chat is OK.

I try to sleep or watch the in flight movie and wait for snacks. Or make faces at the guy next to me or steal peoples comp pillows. Ask to join mile high club Ask what the drinks are make em go thru the list then say no thanks Stare at the wing and make believe there is someone on it. sneak into first class and make fart noises then look at people as if they committed the odoriferous act of stinky treason

Try to sleep but end up with a sore neck. I hate flying. I'm about 6" taller than whoever they used as a model for the seats.

I don't fly too much, but recently I have been doing Sudoku puzzles. Keep my mind off of everything else. If that gets old, then I enjoy reading and listening to my MP3 player. I find it hard to just sit there and relax. Flying stresses me out.

first, i try to work out if the person sitting next to me is the socil type who i could at least occassionally converse with - if not, then look forward to each refreshments offerings, stare at the video screen in front of me, and then slep. Whilst im awake, i contemplate whats ahead of me / or what experiences ive just had if im returning home.
