Your mind is probably playing tricks on you but it can't hurt to get it checked out by a physician.

Shingles is reactivaton of the Herpes Zoster virus from within nerve fibres where it lies dormant after having chickenpox. So - the first question you need to ask yourself is have you ever had chickenpox?
Secondly use this link: http://www.umanitoba.ca/cranial_nerves/trigeminal_neuralgia/manuscript/images/tndistr.jpg and check if your spots appear ONLY in one of these divisions. These are the dermatomes of the face - each area is supplied by a nerve. As the virus that causes shingles lies dormant in nerves the disease only ever appears in these patterns.
Thirdly - how old are you? Shingles is a disease of older people. It usually occurs after an infectious challenge where their immune system is depressed.
Fourthly - if they are pustules that appear to contain a white/cream material they are more than likely to be spots. Check on your face for comendomes (Blackheads), These are diagnostic of acne.
Fifth: Shingles is generally very itchy in the area in which the lesions occur but generally shows far more than 3 lesions!
As for the itching - there are diseases that cause random itching but I think that these spots have got you very concious about any changes that occur. We all get itching in random places at random times.
I dont think you have anything to worry about. If you continue to be concerned pop along to your GP and ask.

There are many reasons we get rashes. I get allergic to the sun.
I hear shingles is very VERY PAINFUL. So if you are in a lot of pain, are vomiting and running a very high fever get to the ER to be treated for shingles or some other severe condition.
However, if you simply have a rash try to figure out why. Is it physical, metaphysical, emotional etc... You can also seek help by going to a dermatologist, your regular doctor, or a medical intuitive or eastern doctor depending on your preference.
Blessed Be.

Andy if you had shingles, you would know it. If you have to ask, then the answer is ":no". Shingles usually starts on the chest and back. Evenually your chest and back is one big scab and you are in agony. Doctors now believe that shingles is a kind of adult chickenpox. If you had chickenpow as a child, then you have a much greater chance of getting shingles when you get older.

If you think you have shingles, then you need to go see your doctor. This virus is highly contagious and need not be taken lightly. People in our hospital that have shingles are placed on contact isolation.
Because I can't see what you're talking about, it's hard for me to say whether or not it might be shingles. When in doubt call the MD.
Best wishes!

I had shingles and didn't realise i had it. I had spots all around my waist but they didn't meet. I felt really down and depressed and they didn't itch but really did irrate me when I wore trousers which rubbed against the spots. It's a horrible disease and can be fatal. If you worried go check it out.

i think shingles comes out in a red itchy "ring shaped" rash on the infected area, it sometimes does cause other parts of the body to itch as well & a course of antibiotics are usually the cure...it is contageous!! go to your doctor if you are worried!! x

the shingles are a virus that a person gets and although some say you can only get one time, they actually can retun throughout your life. they are usually only on one side of the torso. I have had them several times, and they are very painful and if you have them, you will know that.
