I don't think anyone should be punished for their beliefs....
If that were the case then everyone should be punished for what they believe in....not just those of us who support amnesty. How would it be decided who gets what punishment? If our leaders are supporting amnesty will
those who do not support amnesty be punished? And if the leaders are against amnesty, will those of us who do support it be punished. I have faith in you Pancha and I know your views on this topic but whoever thinks that ANYONE should be punished because of their beliefs, whatever they be, is an idiotic imbecile. That's like saying that those who don't agree with others religion, sex, color, marital status and so on would be willing to punish those for believing what they believe. It's about time that we come together and show the Anti-Illegals what this is all about. Some think that because we support amnesty that we support the "illegal" part of the situation and that simply is not true. Everyone would like to see things done in a legal manner but it doesn't always work out that way. It may be that those of us who support amnesty think the way we do because we are compassionate people and would probably give the shirt off of out backs to help another.

No. But I would like it to see more respect for laws. Especially when some involved safety and protection to others.

I don't want to live in a lawless country.

I don't like seeing families living on the borders having to have guns in the open in their kitchen or front room. No not everyone crossing is bad--but you get 20 people crossing-and a bad egg-it is enough. But I know you are for border control-so we will leave that.

And I don't believe in Total Amnesty. I hope something can be worked out--we will see.

And I don't like lies about what is a problem and what isn't. And some problems have been caused by a mass here illegally.

So No -not punish supporters--unless they are breaking the law themselves. Or preventing laws from being enforced.

Just my view

Illegal immigration's not a felony(yet). But, aiding and abetting in the commission of any crime is viewed sometimes more seriously than the actions of the person actually committing a crime. It is an angle to be considered in all of this, basically it amounts to confronting american hispanics with the concept that they need to avoid aiding and abetting, else face fines. I believe there may already be a law on the books that references that...not sure, you'll have to look it up. It's still bad juju any way you look at it if people ARE actively promoting/aiding illegal immigrants.

As much as I would like to say yes, I would need to consider what each individual has done. If some one has harbored them, and helped to supply them with fake I.D. s , the answer would be YES. If it is just some one that did not break the law and just openly viewed their opinion, the answer would be a big NO .

As long as nothing was said that is slanderous, they have every right to say what they want, but when they decide to actively commit crimes, that is where free speech ends, and they must be held accountable.

If you don't like the laws, speak your mind, but if you break the laws you are protesting against, you are a criminal.

Illegal supporters ...is that like an illegal immigrant who supports illegality in general or?
I'll suppose you mean a legal American citizen, who supports illegal immigrant benefits.
Yes, the supporters of such, should be rounded up and shipped off to interment camps, where they are forced to live side by side with all the illegals they wish to be supportive of. They also should be forced to take special classes in cognitive thinking skills that teach them to use reason and logic to understand the concept of: "What is it about the concept of ILLEGAL that you do not understand?!"

No I wouldn't. I am an illegal supporter and I wouldn't want the anti-illegals punished. They are who they choose to be.

No. People shouldn't be punished for expressing their opinion. That flies in the face of everything this country was built on. Just because I disagree with them, that doesn't mean I think they should be punished. It doesn't even mean that they're wrong. I just don't agree with them. And who cares what I think, anyway?

No. If they broke the law in their support, then yes. But a viewpoint on support should not be criminal, my kid supports amnesty and is not even in the tween years yet (I am raising a lib, geez).

When did wearing athletic supporters become illegal?

2006-10-14 08:30:55 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 3 1

No, of course not. Punishing people for their political opinions is the kind of primitive crap they do in Latin America. The whole point of restricting immigration is so as NOT to have the values of backward cultures overwhelm our own....

We do however demand that those who break the law by aiding and abetting illegals be appropriately punished for their crime.
