that all religion & their sayings & laws promote peace & love over conflict. people use religion to manupulate the masses to their gain. it's all about human hunger & weakness for power, control, for oil control, money, gold, diamond, fame, etc

would our borg observation be right, what do you think?

coz if that is correct we should be more tolerant to people of different religion & that shouldn't generalise.

Yes I believe all religions are basily good. However, most people are "sheep" and if the religious leaders tell their followers that we must "convert all people to our religion for the good of their soul and so that we will go to heaven" too many will fall in line with the hate talk of their religious leaders. It is medieval to try to force another to your beliefs. If you cannot convience them by your example, then leave them to their own belief. Remember that God loves us all;however, at the end of time, he will judge us all.

Historically, religion has taken the peaeful message of their founders and twisted them to fit their convenience. This is why the Catholoic church did nothing about the Holocausts, brought us the Spanish Inquistion, which contrary to MOnty Python, was not that good a time for some folks. Religion has also rubber stamped slavery and the (mis)treatment of women and children as well as the poor.
