All the religions have a supreme being, i.e. God, Zues, etc. a son. i.e. Jesus, Hercules. and people who do their work. i.e. Angels and gods and goddesses etc. Whys is it that people are so dead set in what they believe in that they don't see it's all similar in some way? Also if someone believes in something else and it doesn't go by the "rules" then they are quick to persecute?

You're right. The problem is that over time, religion has evolved from being an honest attempt to explain some of life's biggest questions to being a thing that people HAVE to believe or else they'll be thrown into a pit of fire for all eternity. People searching for the answers are threatened with eternal punishment because they don't believe that the world is 6,000 years old, or that a virgin birth happened. I don't get it either.

Most of us do realize that many "religions" share common attributes. The real trial is to search history to find out which one came first. To do this, though people must set aside their Holy books & look to secular historical accounts & findings. If the faith & the facts line up, it's a good indication of how recently their "religion" came into being.

they are the same but not similar babe
likewise we all do the same thing called eating but look at us
do we eat similar stuffs and having the same style of eating?
some with the fork and spoons, while others prefer using hands on banana leafs.
so likewise about GOD,
we all do the same thing called worship but not in a similar manner eventhough be it belongs to the same faith
so the definition of a supreme being or god shall of course differs

people set their minds on one belief and stick to it. only ignorant people see other beliefs as a threat, because if you are a true believer you won't be worried by what others think. you may even see many things in common. if some people want to make a big deal out of it then let them, they won't succeed

Christianity is the only true religion, and the only religion that correctly tells you that you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior to get into Heaven.

It's best to just let people be where this topic is concerned. You gotta accept they're gonna do and believe what they want to. There are a lot of open minded people out there though, remember that.

the only basic differences in my personal opinion between all religions are the NAMES people call GOD and the various Rituals and Ceremonies performed in honoring, glorifying, adoring, and worshiping THE CREATOR.
