The Bible is not a contradictory nor is it open to individual interpretation.
Problems arise when humans attempt to interpret it according to a preconceived notion and/or just take bits and pieces and not the whole.

Why do you ask questions you seem to know the answer to? Jesus says "not all who cry "Lord, Lord" will enter into the kingdom". That pretty much explains it if you ask me. Fire insurance is not Christianity

Christians are normal people trying to honor their Lord throughout their days on earth and serve Him through what they do. Forgiveness and grace are such a big part of the Christian belief because it is necessary daily. Christians desire to resemble Christ but mistakes are made due to our human nature. So when people call Christians hypocrites, they are correct but we strive to be like Jesus...unhypocritical. Hypocritcal people are not what we want to be and exactly the opposite of what the Lord desires for us, but the church is full of them. We are normal people trying to praise the Lord by our actions and decision. The bible is God's tool to encourage us yet we do not always follow it. God judges everyone but it's a very personal thing. The Lord does not honor homosexuals for this decision but they are His children still and he loves them. The Lord is waiting for ANYONE who will draw close to him. He changes people and hopefully those people will believe the truth in the bible.

I believe the only way you are a Christian is that you accepted Christ as your personal savior. Anyone can do that regardless to sex, race, or social beings. Now what they do after they become Christians are their choice. They will be judged when the enter the kingdom of Heavon. Wouldn't you want to be judged and not have to account to the sins you've committed after you became a Christian? We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. We need to confess our sins and change our lifestyle and then we will be forgiven.

Thats in their mind not in the Bible, howewer the Bible says:
Some Christians in the first-century congregation at Corinth were previously in the category of “men kept for unnatural purposes” and “men who lie with men.” Yet, they changed. The blood of Christ cleansed them, and they became acceptable in God’s sight. (Read 1Â Corinthians 6:9-11) Some today need to make similar changes. And such ones can receive support in their fight against wrong desires from the Christian congregation.

I don't know, strange, huh? Yet the bible makes it quite clear that Jesus will be our judge, yet here you are trying to convince us that its you, Scott B, who is our judge. You must be sinless, huh? Where exactly does the bible say that the sin of homosexuality is worse than the sin of trying to take Jesus' job from him? Believe it or not, I'm pretty sure hypocracy is a sin. I also remember the bible saying something about humility, you might want to read a bit about that before running around judging others. Take the plank out of your own eye. I'm not gay, but I sin, and I'm not better than anyone else and you are not my judge or anyone else's.
Judgmental hypocrites are exactly what turn so many people away from Christ, instead of to Him. Seems to me that turning people away from Christ is doing satan's job.

Because they are not a true Christian. It's easy to spot false Christians, they say things against God's Word, much like the Catholic church does.

The bible is just a book written by mankind during a time when mankind still believed in dragons. It's not the be all and end all of everything.

I ma a spiritual person, but anyway, it's because christians have their own interpretations of the bible and what "they say goes" I guess you can say. Everyone who believes in the bible follow what they believe and disregard what they don't. It's always been like that with christains.

Allow me, if you will, to propose a hypothetical situation:
I write a letter to Scott B. In this letter I write about an extraordinary event I witnessed. I saw a geyser erupt in the woods. I put the letter in an envelope and the envelope in my coat pocket, and forget about it. I sell the coat at a yard sale one year later. An Italian girl buys it and takes it to italy. She finds the letter and, just for fun, decides to translate, but gets stuck on American idiom. So she substitutes the words with words of her own, changing things slightly. Then she hands the letter to a friend....you get the point. Too many hands wrote the bible in too many different languages. Can it really be complete?

Scott B,
That would be me. I say that you can be Gay and Christian. But even more so, so does the Bible.
As far as God accepting EVERYBODY regardless of belief, the Bible does not say that, neither do I.
