I think alot of it has to do with loss of family in our modern age. Parents work and kids raise themselves. They listen to any kinda music they want, dress in all black if they want, have sex if they want, and make whatever low life friends they want because mom and dad aint around. But then when the kid gets in trouble it's not that they are bad parents, it's that the child is bad! I have a 12 year old daughter and a 11 year old step son and our world revolves around our kids! We know what they hear, what they wear, who they are with, and what they are doing, always! They get praised everyday for doing good in school, helping around the house, and just being respectful! Kids need to feel loved, respected, and appreciated! I feel so sorry for most of the kids in the world today!

Take a look at the world and all that is happening in it? How are the teenagers raised today? Most have both parents working to earn money to give their kids all the things that they themselves never had. Then when they come home they are so tired they don't have time for the kids. What happened to families doing things together? Heck! just give the kids their own TV etc. So the kids aren't bugging the parents! Kids feel unsafe, because they can't depend on anyone to keep them safe from harm, look at all the kidnappings? Murders? Rapes? When they want to commit suicide, they figure anything is better then the world they are living in! It is truly sad!

It isn't the world that is so difficult for teens today, but the times that we live in. It used to be when we went to school, we worried about getting beat up, today kids wonder if they'll be shot. Some of them have so many mental things to deal with that us "oldies but goodies" never had to deal with. Parents have to work to survive and there are lots of kids who don't have the resources to help them with problems... some get into drugs and gangs and there is usually only one road for that exit. There are so many factors here, whatever we can do to help today's kids--be it an ear to listen to their problems with or a shoulder to give them when they are feeling low, or a hand when they need recognition or support is what we can do.

Because parents don't have enough time to take care of them. Give them advice and support when they need it. They don't spend any time to educated yourself to find out how difficult is life and how to solved simple question/problems. They just look around with stress, how to become Hollywood character, cool, popular and successful. The loneliness is killing them, the dreams in blindness behavior of the future with no way to go is the worse.

Those are normal human feelings and teenagers aren't mature enough to handle them sometimes and make drastic moves. Adults commit suicide all the time too, some people just aren't capable of handling problems.

Kids and of all ages need to know that they are safe. Safety is security, security is knowing everything will be OK or will work out eventually, some people just don't realize this. Some teens don't have someone to talk to or don't feel they are able to reach out to find that someone to talk to. Hormones rage in the teen years and everything is really dramatic and amplified to be larger than it is, especially problems. If you are one of those or know someone who is, find someone you trust to talk to.

I think the internet does not help some of this, because most teens are not mentally prepared to see their ex-boyfriends/ girlfriends pictures and what not spread all over for the world to see. when i was a teen, those things went on, but they weren't smacked in our faces every night when we got home from wherever, to see on a computer. i think it's hard for them to avoid too; just my opinion. Internet is GOSSIP at its worse for teens.

They are unsafe and lonely and nobody notices.

I believe it is because their bodies are changing, the influence of hormones and unfortunately chemical imbalances. They still don't fully understand who they are as individuals and without adequate support from family or friend they are fragile and subject to feel they are all alone.

b/c they aren't able to matuely deal with problems and they aren't stupid they are just lonely maybe if more people stoped calling them stupid and started talking to them as real humans then they wouldn't kill themselves.
