Not until you're 18, I'm afraid. But nothing prevents you from keeping your mind blank as you're there, so the brainwashing doesn't work on you. Or you can go there just to enjoy your sister's singing (if she does sing well, lol). Another thing you can do is pay close attention to what they say (but in a very critical way) so you can support your atheism on actual evidence of whatever is bugging you. I mean analyse the priest's speech, and see what's wrong with it. So in five years, you can have more reasons to support your decision to be a free person. Resist!

You need to support your sister. How would you feel if she refused to attend your wedding because you get married by a JOP in a garden?
She is your sister, you are only 13 and there is no law that says they can't make you go.

there should be a law against it, but there's not. maybe you can contact the ACLU and try to get them to take your case to court. i doubt it though. they standardly only have a problem with when the government tries to force things on people,,, not when people do. in fact, they might even try to PROTECT your parents rights by saying they should have the "right" to raise their children however they see fit. that's the noise i got when i tried complaining to them about my forced circumcision. (by the way, you wanna get mad about something??? get mad about your circumcision. it's a lot worse than you think.) -- so on second thought, screw the ACLU.
richard dawkins an advocate of not allowing parents to subject their children to religion. he just released a new book called "the god delusion". you should check it out.
in the mean time, use your time wisely. you're 13, and have to put up with this for another 5 years. so do the rest of us all a favour, and try to convert everyone in your church to atheism. also,, when you get into high school, you should try to start up a group that meets up either before or after school and teaches why evolution makes more sense than creationism does. --- when i was in high school, there was a christian group called "powerhouse" who would meet every morning before school to discuss jesus. in retrospect, i wish i'd started up a group to compete with them. education at schools is horrible., particularly in regards to how evolution works.,,, - what i wouldn't give to become a 17 year old again and start up some sort of group who argues and teaches points really accurately. ----- please use you youth wisely.

Be respectful to your parents, you may personally not believe what they believe in and that's fine, however, they are your parents & provider until that day you become 18 and live on your own with out Mommy & Daddy supporting you. Be respectful & obey your parents. I am a christian. and I felt the same way when I wasn't a Christian.

I don't think there's n actual law against this, but there should be! Just go, but do your homework while ignoring the priest and everything. If your parents are the type who want to make you a conformist, they'll probably get embarassed at your behavior (though they can't PUNISH you because you're doing homework!) and not make you come back anymore.

Sorry there is no law against making your children attend church. You'll have to wait until your 18 to make that decision unless they give up on you before that.

Sorry, you have to mind your parents. I'm glad I was never forced. Just suffer it out. When you are 18 you can do what you want in that regard.

You're still a kid. Until you're an adult, you have to do what your parents say. Though you don't have to believe what your parents believe. You'll have to go to church.
