Most prepaid cards I've seen are purchased for cash with no ID. How can they report to the credit bureau if they don't know who you are?
Do you mean secured credit cards. These are issued by a bank and backed by a savings account that the bank can take to cover any default. Most of these do report to credit bureaus. Ask the issuer to be sure.

Probably, not since they are not extending you credit. You would be better off getting a credit card that requires a deposit. Then they do report.
