If he's not comfortable w/ it then I would just leave it alone

Ohh ! personally, I would keep him as he is !! but, if he
really gets up your nose upon any ocassion, you could
suggest an intimate evening of pampering, get him
face down, massage, then let rip with the back waxing !!
