I asked a guy that I really like to homecoming but he said no. Today, he I.M.ed me and asked why I asked him to homecoming so I told him because I thought it would be cool to go with him. He then said that I was waaaaaay wrong and signed off.

This guy does not care for you. Forget him and move on. Look around and see if there are others from your school, church or in the community who have expressed a liking for you, but who you previously ignored because your interests were elsewhere.
Try to do a makeover of yourself by looking at your appearance, your choice of clothes and your attitude to others. Do a checklist of your shortcomings and seek to improve on each point. For example, hairstyle, body odor, teeth, body weight, shyness, etc. Somethings can be improved quite promptly while others need a little time. But you are in this for the long haul. That is to say, you are not just interested in a date for the homecoming , you need a boyfriend. So you have to take stock of yourself, since if you appear to be suddenly interested in someone you have to be attractive and pleasant when you approach them - not just at the homecoming ball or party to which you have invited them.
If all fails consider going to the homecoming alone. Maybe you will find Prince Charming there. Good luck

honestly gurl if he is gona act like that ask someone else cause he seems like a jerk so me, but if you really wana go with him then tell him that i thought we could have good time plus i really like you. but if you are gona ask someone else then tell that other guy that you thought it would be fun and that you did really like and thought after homecoming things might get funner(if you know what i mean even if it really wasn't gona happen) lie just to make him feel like s**t and then tell him, but thats okay i found someone else and me and him are gona have a great time wink wink lol have fun and dance your a** off chick! later

god he sounds awful. saying no is fine, but why bother with the follow up, it was obviously meant to hurt you in some way. & besides, what a stupid question, why did he think you asked him? lol! you had a lucky escape girl!
