Goodness I have 15 years on you and still consider myself young. Age and feeling old are all in the mind. If you allow yourself to wallow in pity about aging then naturally you'll feel older. But if you continue to live a good live and are active then you'll not only remain looking younger but will feel young at heart also. So tell your co-worker to shove it where the sun don't shine and don't allow his negative comments to influence your mental state on aging.
Like I said I have a few years on you and am getting married to my soul mate next year. We continue to enjoy rock concerts together, going out and socializing and each others company. All this helps us remain young also.

If your a dog and 36 in dog years your dead .............36 for a women your at the top of your game . Your not getting mature . You are mature , when you took responsibility for your self . That was when you turned 21 or even before .Tell the 45 year old that the only thing old is his thinking . Believe me 36 is great . By the way stay away from that guy . He 'll cramp your style .

He's wrong and your right. You are far from old at only 36 years of age. He's crazy and don't listen to him. He just doesn't want to get older, and every year that he does he has to complain about it like he's doing to you. He's not forgetting things because he's getting older, he's forgetting things because he's forgetful. When he actually is in old age he'll see how stupid he feels for thinking the way he did. Enjoy these years you have because you still have a long way to go.

Depends what society you're in. Different societies have different standards for what is old. In some cultures you'd be a grandad so you'd be considered old. In others you would be viewed as young.
Of course it depends on your health, marital/family status, how you look, and your attitude. But societal norms can be very constricting since certain things are expected of you at certain ages. So despite many youthful characteristics, you may still be old if your society doesn't allow you to live young.

Well I'm not much older than you & I don't think I'm old. It just means you've done some living & have more experience than others. That guy sounds like he has issues. Next time he says something about old age tell him he'll always be senior to you. Maybe that will shut him up.... LOL.

I just turned 46 last month, I feel young at heart, and older in body, Just because of dissabilities!
At 36 you are not even [on averege] 1/2 way through your life, of course that might depend on where you live...
You gain wisdom from experience, not only age...
Feel young cause U R!!!

Get real, 36 is not old yet, as long as you are young at heart. Don't be offended by what others tell you.

You are right. At 36 you have matured enough to know that you are just getting started. I only realize my age when my grown children have birthdays. Otherwise I don't give it much thought.

i don't think 36 is that old. What the other guy may be referring to is your looks. I don't know what kind of shape you're in but generally, when a person calls you old, it's because of your physical attributes.

36 is young. At 46 I started working out and have had teenage girls hitting on me. I'm now past that stage and have moved to the 20yr. olds.
