Age, experience with dating, level of maturity and responsibility for your own behavior and compatibility of personalities are the factors that should determine whether or not you should date someone. Is he in your age group as a peer? Is he single and available? Is he as "crazy about you" as you say you are about him? Is he self-supporting and dependable as a friend? Does he encourage you in goals you think are important to you and your loved ones? Feelings should be mutual and there must be honest communication between you.
Do not base dating on the expectations of other people, physical urges or outward appearances. That will not help to build a lasting friendship. If the two of you cannot be social friends, then you should not date him. Best wishes.

I would tell you to do what makes you feel happy. But your gonna date him and find out latter that your parents hated him for all the right reasons. Than your gonna end up really feeling bad. So your gonna have to weight the out come

Talk to your parents about it and tell them how you really feel. Yeah, I know this is a pathetic answer but it's worked out for me before. If you really like this guy, you'll do anything to get your parent's approval.

sit and talk with your mom...tell her that you think that you are old enough to date....tell her that you have a boy friend and that you love him even though every guy will break someones heart at one point in time....
