If they are a Christian would'nt they know this scripture?
1Corithians 6:9-10
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Good question!

It is a never-ending source of amazement to me how someone can read (in numerous places) in scripture what God says about homosexuals, or what He has done (Sodom and Gomorrah) and still think everything will be fine. I have had them tell me that their sin will be forgiven, but they fail to understand the nature of repentance. Repentance means you recognize your sin, acknowledge it is wrong, and try to not commit the sin anymore. Homosexuals keep committing this sin, so how can that be worthy of forgiveness?

Even more amazing is the growing number of churches whose clergy are openly deviate. How can anyone with a lick of sense in their noggin go every week to listen to a preacher who is a person God calls an "abomination"?????

Christ said that in the latter days there will come false prophets (a prophet is a teacher, not necessarily someone who prophesies future events) who will teach lies in Christ's name. Well, they're here, friend, and they're standing all "sweet and sissified" in front of the nation's congregations. Don't believe for a minute that the Catholic church is the only church whose clergy have deviates in their ranks.

Christ also told us that good trees produce good fruit, and bad trees produce bad fruit. That's pretty cut and dried. So since we know we won't be getting "good fruit" from a bad tree, what does that tell you about a denomination that allows an "abomination" to be a church leader? Mark them and move along, or take your place beside them. Personally, I'd like to see the homosexuals start up their own denomination (they have a lot of experience at organizing things and self-promotion). That way they could all hang out together and not pollute a potentially good church with their filth.

ok lets get our facts STRAIGHT first.

In 1Corithians 6:9-10 it says "9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

The above is the proper quotation for the King James Bible.

Now let's talk about the term "homosexual" according to the Wikipedia the first appearance of the term in print was about 1869. It may have been used earlier but I doubt it was conceived, coined, termed or used in 1611 when the bible was written.

Which book do you read? Try reading the proper text before quoting or attempting to quote from the bible.

Once you find the proper text to read from then keep reading the book. I think you will be enlightened. First you will not find homosexuality any more a sin then eating red meat on certain days, or doing drugs, abusing alcohol or simply having sex (including oral sex) without being married, or wait let's talk about masturbation.

There are many things written in the bible. If you live by the text without straying at all -- then we'll talk. If you don't -- you best keep your quoting to yourself -- or you will need to look up the word hypocritical.

As a Gay Christian I am quite familiar with all 8 pasages in the Bible that people use to try to condemn me.

First, the word homosexual does not exist in the original text. In fact the word did not come about until the 16th century.

Second, I have a direct and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This and this alone is enough to be assured a place in Heaven.

Third, If you insist on being of the mindset that I am a sinner. So be it. We all are. Christ died to pay the price of all sin for all time. Just because you are a Christian does not mean that you live sinlessly. If you think you do you may want to take a look at you question in light of Christ's teachings on judging people.

Jesus, hung out with durnkards, theives and prostitutes. Jesus helped the adultresses. I would much rather be the one who hangs out with Jesus and recieves His help than be the righteous, sinless rich man not willing to give it all up.

I have a question for you. Why are so many hetrosexual Christians worried about and talking about homosexuals? Isn't there enough adultry and abuse going on in your own relationships to keep the Gossip mills churning? Oh, that right it is easier to point out the sliver in an others eye that to address the log in your own.

I will pray for you and hope that you will choose to hang out with Jesus in the places that He hung out in.

homosexual christians are something that I absolutely don't understand....They're like people attracted to the belief in jesus, but not willed to be consequent....

They also don't want to listen to Paul, even though Paul has his teachings from Jesus.

To me, a christian homosexual makes no sense. It's like an indian living in germany and joining a german nazi group...

The german nazi group is also crazy for accepting the indian, because by accepting him they lose their credibility as being nazis, and their whole basic concept breaks apart.

That, again, could be interpreted as proof, for the apocalypse that is about to come. You just need to add the global warming and you're complete.

Finally, to me, there's just one question: what will I inherit...
the kingdom of god, or the world again that is about to become unliveable? It seems the more we go ahead in time, the more we are in need of god's kingdom.

But nuff said about that.

What am I then? I was homosexual for over 17 years. Am I still now? Am I a homosexual christian? I have no girlfriend???

So I guess I can talk as much as I want.

Many people in this country use the Bible as a convenience store. They take what they like and ignore what they don't like. They customize God to their own wishes. In this way, they justify whatever they want .
Concerning those passages of the Bible that criticize what they like, they say that it is obsolete, that that is not what it means, something like that.
Look what some people say here as justification. They combine both things, like that could be.
Right, Jesus didn't judge the adulteress, but He told her: "Go, and sin no more"
Some people eliminate that last part. Jesus did talk to people of bad habits, but with the idea of helping them to abandon their sinful ways and follow the right path, not with the idea of:
"Keep doing your bad things. You will be saved anyway"
About why some people get involved in this thing, I cannot talk for others, but it is annoying that people with certain lifestyles say that they are Christians and keep doing their wrong ways.
It is like publicly known killers, rapists, drunkards, drug dealers, etc, say that they are Christians, but they don't repent but keep doing what they shouldn't.
Besides, can somebody explain this ? What is the need for homosexuals to be screaming their sexual orientation ?
I don't understand it.
You like men ? Fine, your business. keep it for yourself. Nobody needs to know.
As I saw once in a magazine, a homosexual said: "What I do in my bedroom is my business." Absolutely, no argument there. It IS your business and nobody else's. Since it is nobody else's, keep it in your bedroom

Why do Christians who spread hate and persecute others think they are in the right?

If they are Christians, wouldn't they know this scripture?

(I don't feel like digging out the verse and chapter. Sue me.)

A prostitute was in the street and surrounded by people of the town and they were throwing stones at her. And Jesus came into this circle and called to them, "What has this woman done?" They told him that she was a prostitute, and he told them, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."

Jesus also said, "Judge not, lest ye be judged."

Why can't you follow your own scripture? Until you can, you have no place to demand that homosexual Christians stop being either homosexual or Christian.

And if you followed your own scripture, you'd know that it's offensive, rude, and and defies your God for you to demand that sort of thing.

We are all a work in progress, hopefully, they will read the bible and come to the understanding and realization that this practice is against the will of God. It is not our job as Christians to judge it that is only to be done by God. Remember, that it says in the bible that we should not judge one another, that the measure that we use to judge will be the measure he will use to judge us. So, just pray that they will gain the true understanding of the word of God. And God does not separate sin, sin is sin, one sin is not greater that another. God bless

hi, well the reason is because some are blind to it decieved by satan and others just dont care. some people go through things and they change. im not one to judge but the lord says that it is an abomination and those who say they are christians and continue to believe that what they are doing is pleasing to god is very much so blinded by a lie from hell. pray for them but dont hate them but love them because we are not to fight against flesh and blood but the spirtual warefar that is constantly at battle with the saints. peolpe dont see it but they are there.

Homosexuals are that way by their own choice, they gave in to the lust of their flesh.

Homosexuals are not Christians. Neither are any others who live in sinful lifestyles.

So many here think they know God's Word, but all they prove is their own ignorance of the Word of God.

It's the same way some Christians claim to follow Christ but still judge Homosexuals instead of leaving the judgement to God.
