Im bringing my dog with me on a flight and shes too big to be placed under the seat so she is going as checked baggage. i understand that the airline has kennel requirements and everything, im flying united airlines. but the only kennel i found for my dogs size, a jack russell terrier mix at petsmart, is this one~

http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441775460&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302035805&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1160847274564&itemNo=0&In=Dog&N=2035805&Ne=2

its REALLY similar to that but it has the same clasp sides. they feel very sturdy and i even put her in it and picked it up to make sure it held. and on the paper tag on the kennel it shows a plane logo. would this kennel be ok? even at petsmart for her size thats the only one i found, the other ones called travel aire or something were for intermediate. does anyone KNOW? if these types of kennels are ok?

That kennel will be fine if its gonna be checked into baggage rather than carry-on.
Give her lots of blankets though cuz the baggage cvompartment of the plane gets cold & consider getting a mild sedative from your vet...this is her first air trip & you aren't gonna be there...it's gonna be dark, loud & cold... pretty scary for a dog.
Just somethings to consider... Good Luck & have a great trip!!!

Yes that is fine. However call the airline and ask if they sell them. If not book a flight on delta that can be canceled, go buy a kennel from them then cancel it. The kennels are cheaper and sturdier.

This kennel should work just fine. I know a few breeders who ship puppies worldwide and this is the same kind of crate that they use. Make sure you put stickers on it that say "live animal" and "this side up".
