I have been on this site for 2 months now, and all I hear is people chastising other people for their faith. In todays world where it is so difficult to believe in anything, we have to judge what those beliefs are.?What does it matter? For as long as we can remember man has tried to define the characteristics of faith, but instead realized by faith it was he who was defined. Why cant we just accept that it is the same. Is it so difficult to believe that we all may possibly find salvation using different resources? And when I say salvation I am not talking about heaven or god, although heaven and god do exist subjectively for everyone from a matter of perception. We as spiritual creatures touch god everyday, without needing the conformity of religion. There is nothing wrong with religion, but when it invades on somone elses relationship with god, then it is no longer god like. This we have to remember.
The only way we are going to get there is together

Remebmer the word God is just that, a word. It is us as man who gives meaning to words, and suggests it's power in our lives., that power is reconginzed through feeling. And as we all know feelilng is not something that can be objectively explained for others to understand what someone else feels subjectively. If soemone says they are in pain do you say no your not because I dont feel it.
It is the same for faith

There are many roads to God. He does not care which road, or no road at all, that we take.

It would be nice if what you say is true, but it isn't.

Religion drives most of the worst tragedies to befall humans that we suffer. Minorities, gays, the poor, non-Christians, Jews and anyone else today who is not part of the 'saved' elite of Christianity is fair game for mistreatment (including up to extermination) by the 'faithful' especially fundamentalists which include our leaders.

In the past, other groups were also included like scientists, so-called witches, pagans, and any Christians not of the preferred sect of the moment.

Surely you can't condone all this misery and carnage by saying that 'there is nothing wrong with religion' and similar bromides. When religionists kill and discriminate against people, it doesn't 'invade on someone elses relationship with god' but it sure invades their privacy, right to live undisturbed, and even their right to life.

As long as beliefs drive actions, it REALLY MATTERS what we believe.

I read some in the bible and in other religion's some where that there is one god and I think that as long as you have your own believe that you should follow what you believe and not let others put down what you believe. I went to more than a few churches and was sadden by the way some of them acted One the preacher ran off with the money for the church building payoff. an other one split because they all wanted to run the church a different way than the others, then there was one that you were not welcome if you did not wear the right kind of clothes. I could tell more but I have decide to have my own believes and let others have there and let it go. I wish you luck on your quest but for me I just do my on thing for now.

Sure, it matters what we believe.

If it didn't, then suicide bombings would be correct!! And so would human sacrifice! I don't think Jim Jones and David Koresh were right.

Aside from the religious aspect, what one believes determines his worldview, and consequently, his morality or lack of morality.
As an atheists, I believe that I came here by accident, and when I die, I am TRULY DEAD - NO AFTER LIFE. This will determine how I live now. Conversely, as a Christian, I believe that God created humanity, and that someday, I will have to give an account of my actions. Consequently, I WILL OF NECESSITY HAVE A DIFFERENT LIFESTYLE FORM THE ATHEIST.

In a candle-lit room. a group of people is sitting on the floor in a circle. In the center of the circle is a platform. A man makes his way through the perimeter and places a hot-plate on the platform. He then takes a large ball of wax and places it on the hot plate. After fifteen minutes the man turns off the hot plate and asks each person in the circle what he/she sees in the melted formation of the wax. All of the answers were different. Though one man said, "I see a melted form of wax."

Of course it matters what we believe.

When you "believe" you are saying it is OK to base important life decisions on absolutely NO evidence or verification. The more important things are about life the less people seem to require some justification.

So, yes, it is important that we question and demand verification of any belief.

Most beliefs are silly nonsense.

WE should be interested in learning TRUTH...as oppposed to lies.

WE should then love truth, and the God of truth when we find him.

We should love each other on the way there and realize that people have different view points and Jesus will correct that in his time.

Yes it matters, for their is only ONE God, that is the God of Christianity, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit.

If you don't accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will spend your eternity in the Lake of Fire.

agree with you as GOD is to big to be in only one place and there are many paths and ways to get to ones destination none of which are better than another. as long as we respect the rights of everyone to their free will to worship how they want what real difference does it make as the only real differences are THE NAME they refer to GOD as and the differences in the rituals and ceremonies performed.

it doesn't count number a jot in this life, notwithstanding it truly does for what occurs next!! Jesus is the in difficulty-free words one to say that he's the way and that the in difficulty-free words thanks to the daddy is via Him so, if you're actually not likely as a lot as see Him, you're probable exceptionally a lot taking position to a horrid eternity. References: For horrid eternity see the e book 36 minutes in Hell (or something similar, i visit't truly bear in mind yet i'm particular a number of of persons in this website will comprehend the finished identify and author), For Jesus, see The Bible! on your completely non certain get out clause, see Revelation the position it says that all of us will be judged on their personal advantages ... yet are you actually prepared to take the prospect that you've been "impressive" or "solid" sufficient! end attempting to be something "sufficient" and comprehend that it in basic terms doesn't count number in that no longer something you would possibly want to do can ever be solid sufficient, all of us fall short of the proper yet it is why God loves us - coz we are human ... yet it is also why He died for us because He replaced into so disillusioned at no longer having the failings He loves the most (us) ignoring Him, no longer communicate over with Him and not in any respect percentage our day with Him. old testomony - a sin=want for sacrifice to achieve forgiveness (see sacrificial lamb, and so on). New testomony - all sins=one perfect sacrifice so we do no longer ought to attempt to get it accurate any extra, we may be able to easily ask for foregiveness = heaven, loveliness and no burning for eternity. option- one enormous heap of taking a probability!

Regardless of ones religious perspective, there can be only one truth. Those who proclaim ownership of said truth are lacking reason or they are misguided by their passion.
