do people come to the R&S section, and then complain about all the religious people here?

There are people in this world that have nothing better to do than to look for things they are "offended" about and to complain about them. They enjoy trying to irritate others and are continually looking for ways to do this. They are only effective if we allow them to be. I guess what I am telling you is to not let other people's stupidity influence your feelings.

It's for everyone, regardless of religion. It's to discuss religion & spirituality. Pro or con. Agree or disagree. Spirituality has a broad meaning and you don't have to be religious to be spiritual. Christians complain about atheists being here, Atheists complain about the Christians, Muslims complain about not being treated fairly, everyone complains about not being respected. It's just how it is.

Kinda stupid, huh? They must be very bored people is all I can think. They claim its for everyone, but the fact that it says "religion and spirituality" would tell even the dimmest mentality that you would have to have an interest in religion or spirituality, and since athesits have no religion, thereby don't believe they have spirits, their only reason for being here is to attack those of us who do have religious/spiritual beliefs. Spiritual/religious people here don't get upset with other real religious/spiritual beliefs, but with the fools who come here simply to insult us.

Atheism is a form of religion, a belief that we can choose to not believe in anything. For those who aren't true atheists, many just get their kicks out arguing or causing problems or stirring debates and contentions. Not really much different than a UN meeting or the time in Jesus' day when the Sadducees and Pharisees were bickering with him, even to the point of plotting his death.

Because even though this is the "Religion and Spirituality" section (meaning ALL religions and ALL topics relating to spirituality are welcome here, as well as all opinions about either subject), some Christians insist on claiming this section as their own. And people tend to not like that, understandably.
