70%? Nah, that's a lot... I don't think so many people have that much free time in their hands to waste impersonating someone else.
I'd say the number of impersonators is around 20% which still is a lot.
Besides, the avatar things look really cartoonish. Nobody looks exactly like their avatar, no matter how hard they can try.

I think you ask a very good question. My avatar is a picture of David Duchovny, star of The X-Files. Yet people think it is me.
It's no secret that my name is Amy, and I am a single mom with 3 sons. I have the Duchovny avatar because I think he's hot and I enjoy looking at him when I am on my computer.
I have been very open with everyone in this forum, probably a little too much. And I suppose I am naive, because I like to believe that the face people present to me is who they really are.

My avatar is fairly close to what I looked like when I was younger. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one that matched my present appearance (heavier by a bit, whiter hair, older), as they didn't have any. I wouldn't put a real picture, because my privacy is very important and my views are sometimes quite upsetting to people, and although there are very few crazy people in the world (plenty who disagree with us and that we THINK are crazy), it only takes one to really ruin your day. I'm one of the real ones, and happy to talk to others, any time.
Funny, but an amazing number of people live behind masks even when dealing with you in person. I'd like to encourage the ending of that practice.
My name is taken from one of my favorite Star Trek novel series, New Frontiers.

It doesn't concern me what other people do. I don't know them, so I could care less how many identities they have. My avatar was an attempt to get as close to myself with that program as I could. It's not very close! But it's my lame attempt at it. The link to my 360 is in my profile and my picture is there, and all about me and my family. My life is an open book...somewhat...lol. What about YOU?

I don't think so - at least maybe not in a forum like this. I think what you read is what you get! I think those posting ignorant thoughtless answers and questions are probably just as ignorant and thougtless in real life! Lol* As far as avatars - I dunno, I can honestly say that I tried to make mine look like me...but my face is a bit more round, and I only wish I were as thin as my avatar is! :)

Well, mine is as close as I could get with what we have to work with. Of course, I'm 50 years old and my avatar is a younger me and how I would be in Jehovah God's new system of things when everything will be brought back to perfection like Jehovah intended it to be in the first place.

Who knows. The Sword of the Lord is the Word of God/ the Bible and that is what I want to represent in my answers. And the Bible has a way of cutting to the heart of issues.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I think it's more likely 50%, but heck it could be 90% for all I know! I'm real...really I am.
addition: Nevermind, I misread the question. Is this card sharks? I'm gonna say much lower...10% impersonators, alex..or what ever that card sharks emcee guy's name was.
