My children live in a 'mulicultural' area and are therefore exposed to ideas fom many failths and have between them each sought their own favourite bits of different religions yet manage to get on together work well with others and all have lovely friends. Because of each others acceptances of the other faiths they get to enjoy lots more celebrations than just christmas and easter yet still allow the message from these celebrations to play a big part in their lives. I have supported their chioces and say only that they are well adjusted kids. So I suppose I have to answer both yes and no, their message from me has simply been welcome all who welcome all and respect their choices and beliefs providing they respect yours too.

I'm not a parent...but my parents tried to force their religious doctrine on me growing up. We went to the Church of Christ...3 times a week...Sunday am, pm and wednesday pm. I hated the church, becuase it was toooo conservative. I never "bought into it", because it all seemed so pointless. It was like everyone there just went for a sense of false hope to make them feel better about their lives. Anyways, since i left home and went to college at 18, i have never once gone to any church on my own...im 23 now. I just dont know what i believe. Forcing kids doesnt work...they never figure out what they beleive on their own. DONT DO IT.

How can you elaborate on a 'how many' question? I think basic logic and reasoning skills are more important. There are many religious doctrines out there. Which one are you talking about?

Indoctrination is not education.

Yahoo land? Funny! And my answer is "I sure hope so", I don't believe in indoctrinating anyone about anything, except in the Golden Rule.
