I've tried all my local supermarkets from Tescos to Asda to Coop and I can't get coconut ice-cream. I'm mad on the stuff and there used to be Carte Dor that made it, can't get it for love nor money now. Any suggestions, do you like it? Have you bought it? and where!

Find an Asian grocery store. It has a different name and the icecream is green, but it's definately coconut.

Go for a curry! Nearly every Indian restaurant I've ever been in has the same dessert menu, and it always features half a coconut shell full of coconut ice cream. The ice cream comes from Menorca and is lovely. An expensive way to get your fix though - unless you can persuade your local curry house to sell you some for your freezer.

I'm not from UK, but I know if there is any asian community, particularly a Filipino store they have coconut ice cream by the brand named "MAGNOLIA". This may also came in a different n variety and the coconut is called " MACAPUNO" which in filipino is translated as young coconut. The green one metioned by another person is "Green Tea" or " Pandan". In chinatown, you may ask where the local ice cream store, and ask for coconut.

Haagen Dazs has a coconut macaroon flavour that's very good. I've bought it in my corner shop and the local Waitrose (in London). It seems to have come out over the past few months - I first saw it in June.

Cannot answer your question but have you tried just sprinkling dessicated coconut on vanilla ice-cream? It is GOOD! Use lots of coconut.
Had a restaurant years ago and one particular customer always asked for it - had to try it to see why and got hooked.

Depends where you live, I know a small dairy farm that makes their own ice cream and they do a good coconut. I know cos I sell it in my pub nearby

Pretty sure that Millies Cookies Ice Cream stalls do it, they do everything else. Try their love potion one, it's amazing! It's raspberry sauce in vanilla ice cream with chocolate pieces.
