It is rare for a 25 year old. Most lumps are benign. The urgency to biopsy the lump is to catch the cancer early so that treatment is rapid and decisive and in your favor. Odds of the lump being breast cancer? Low. Odds of surviving if caught and treated early? High. No matter what the outcome, this will be a frightening time for you until the results come back. Be hopeful and positive. Good luck.

Yes it is rare. It is likely gonna be a benign breast lump. But still it is better to investigate the lump you have especially if you had a family member diagnosed with breast cancer under the age 35 yeas old.

Its sounds like you may be talking about a condition called Gynecomastia. If its behind your nipple area this can be very normal in young adolescent males. It happened to both of my brothers, its due to the breast tissue slightly swelling getting ready for growth "of the breast" before your male hormones kick in and it will disappear. I know its sounds very strange and scary but dont worry your just a NORMAL growing boy and theres nothing you can do about it (or need to do about it) because it should go again after not too long. Please read the attached website it will help you a lot. You can still see a doctor to help your mind relax, but i am quite sure they will say what i have told you

No. Breast cancer is very common amongst young women. Its the number 1 most common cancer in women. Im sorry that you are going through this. But dont worry, there is ongoing research for breast cancer and millons of dollars have been donated to help find a cure. I hope everything turns out negative! Oh, and cancer isnt caused by the stress going on in your life. Hope I helped!

Unfortunately, it does happen. However, even if it is cancer, you can still have a very normal long healthy life. I was diagnosed last year at 31 with endometrial cancer-quite rare. I had surgery, no other treatments, and I am physically fine. I know the waiting is hard. Hang in there.

i wouldn't necessarily use the word 'rare' but most women are older when diagnosed. A lot of lumps at that age are cystic in nature but further testing would be warrented. Sounds like you need to listen to the doc.s and play it on the safe side by doing these tests. Alot of stress in ones life can weaken the immune system and make you more susceptible to disease but not 'cause' it.

I think it would be pretty rare, but not impossible. I had a biopsy of my left breast when I was 18 yrs old, It turned out to be benign and left a big old scar on my breast.

It is rare but not unheard of. It could be a cyst. My prayers are with you.
