Who has the best trained military in the world, the U.S., Israel, or the U.K.?

The U.S. obviously has the most powerful...just based on shear numbers but who has the best trained?

From what I know the Brits probably have the best trained,most deeply professional forces in the world but certainly not the best equiped. A number of UK troops have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan because their troop carriers have virtually no armor at all. British "snatch" vehicles make US Humvees and LAVs look like heavy tanks. Also, from what I've heard British Army communications seem to be chronically screwed up and have been that way for decades. Something about the culture of the Uk military just doesn't value communications so it's always the last thing they put energy into. This totally jibes with what Reverend posted:

"The UK has a solid military force, but their coordination between their branches cannot hold a candle to how well the US branches work together."

The US military are definitely the world leaders when it comes to anything related to electronics from communications to computerization.

The Israeli Army has been overrated since 1956 as a result of winning a string of showy victories over second rate opponents. Besides being overrated, they have also declined in absolute terms over the past 20 years because of the huge amounts of time they've had to waste doing riot control in the Occupied Territories instead of training.....

MikeS has the true correct answer and this is all based on what a person thinks personally-overall national would not have the US at the top, the US military is well trained and has the edge technically but technical superiority is not the same as trained. Personally I would go with the following: 1 and 2 South Korea and Israel (any sequence you like) 3. Switzerland 4. Sweden 5. US 6. United Kingdom 7. German 8. French (though specifically the Foreign Legion gets them this high not the remainder) 9. Canadian 10. Australia

If you use the recent military offensives as your guide, the US military took over the country with the forth largest standing army in the world in 1 week with less than 25 casualties. Israel couldn't oust hezbollah from southern lebonan in the same time with over 40 casualties. The UK has a solid military force, but their coordination between their branches cannot hold a candle to how well the US branches work together. Its USA hands down, but other notable militaries with superb training should be considered even though the answer will be the same. Iran, China, Austrailia, and India should definately be considered well trained armed forces.

I would say the U.S for the overall military that includes airforce,navy and army. Every aspect of the military are being well equiped with one of the world most high tech and powerful fire power equipment.Their military personal are also highly trained to fight under any conditions..

Israel because they have to fight every day for their very existence. The US & UK have the fire power but their military is made up mostly of a paid army that becomes lazy and relies to much on oceans as a barrier against foreign invasion.

The israelis have been fighting wars since they have existed. Countries have been trying--unsuccessfully---for thousands of years to destroy Israel, i think they are the most experienced and best trained.

i am an american, but i say israel, but, the americans who have died in the war on terror are true heroes. but, israel has seen some very tough wars, they are prolly the most hated country on earth, surrounded by enemies, bombed daily, and threatened to be wiped off the map. but almost all of their troops have seen combat, they fight many well armed rebels, and they are still standing.
