To expound - I wondered if farmers who have been doing things without the organic label for generations resented needing to get certified "organic". Was the process to get the label relatively easy? Or a big pain in the A? Or did you just not bother with organic? Or do traditional farmers think the whole business was foolishness - a consumer ripoff. If they think it's a ripoff do they still enjoy the extra profit margin? etc etc

Do you mean corporate agriculture?

Your question is confusing. Traditional farmers would use traditional methods, and thus would most likely BE organic farmers. You might mean small farmers, in which case I'd say they are pro-organic. There is a good profit margin for organic foods these days, and farmers are very driven by market forces. I have heard of many farmers and orchardists who have gone completely organic simply because it was the only way to keep their farm afloat.
