well, you can't completely remove it, but doing a hot oil treatment on your hair should strip out some of the color (the orangeness) and should mellow it down a bit. You can also try using shampoos and conditioners which are purple in color, the ingredients that make it purple tone down the orange. Also, you could redye your hair, but that might be a bit damaging. And, if you're willing to spend some money, you could always go get it fixed at a salon, but that's up to you! So washing your hair a few times (preferable w/a clarifying shampoo) and trying one of the above things should help, good luck!

You will need 20-40 volume developer and shampoo. Put about a tablespoon of shampoo into 8-15oz. of developer. Can be used on dry or wet hair, wet is easier to manage. Leave on for 15-20 minutes, make sure to check to see if the orange is gone before rinsing.

nope, you can only tint back to your original color, if you didn't break through the orange pigment on your first attempt, then subsequent attempts won't work either. Your hair is too dark, see a professional if you want highlights in the future.

Depending on how long ago you did it, you can try to use Dawn dish detergent to wash it in. Sometimes that detergent will strip some of the color from freshly colored hair and it may help to bring out some of the brassy color.
