Talk to a professional stylist. Relaxers can be very damaging but so can a straightening iron. People usually use it too hot.

Speak to a good hairdressers. But i would say that a hair relaxer cant possibly be as bad as using hair straighteners an hour every night. By relaxing your hair u will save yourself time too and altho the relaxant may be chemical, it cant do anymore damage than the straigheneres do.

Theres something else thats its better for your hair and it can make it straight. Its almost like a relaxer but its not its called "Easy straight" its made basicly for white women that have curly hair, un like the relaxers thats are made for women of color ( you know what i mean ) Also, you can always relax your hair but just buy a really mild one, they have different typed, and mix it with hair treatment. I done it before and my hair din't get that damage, either way your still goin to harm your hair a bit, but you are doing that already by fixing it everyday

i used a chemical relaxer for about 2 years, after that my hair had a little wave but stayed almost strait. it was really curly before that, the first time i burnt my scalp but after that i had no problems. i also had it done in the salon don't do the home ones they will ruin your hair

I did once and since I colored my hair, I ended up melting it. It took years to get strong again.
