Start the evening with soft lights, soft music then Vermicelli with a little garlic, olive oil and Parmesan. (If you want meat a serving of broiled chicken breast or salmon would be good.) A nice Cesar salad and some yummy toasted lightly garlicked Italian bread. A nice wine is mandatory.
Keep it light, romance may lead to after dinner activities.
Chocolate mousse for dessert or chocolate dipped strawberries.
Have a fabulous evening!!

broil a slightly fatty peice of meet, like a ham or something, then put in three or so cups of beef or chicken broth, put in small potatoes and some chopped onions and garlic and let it all cook. the potatoes will end up tender, the meat will be done and u can make an easy gravy out of the left over liquid.
to make the gravy, heat up some oil on meadium low heat with some garlic or onions then, when its hot enough, add some flour, but make sure it doesn't clump. itf it does, start over again. when it works out, mix it some so it doesn't have any clumps then add all of the dripping and mix then up, add some butter so that it thickens, don't add more flour if it isn't thick enough unless ur have a whisk. flavor to ur liking
while the meat is cooking is the oven, make a light pasta from a box is easy so that u don't need a recipe, then have chocolate covered strawberries for desert

Time for a trip to the grocery. Chicken Kiev already made and in the freezer case, Uncle Ben's Long grain and wild rice in the box.
Bake the chicken according to package directions
Make the rice also using directions on the box
Place finished rice on the plate put chicken on top of rice. Heat a little chicken gravy from a jar and pour just a little across the chicken and on to the rice. garnish with a little parsley or a slice of orange.
This dish looks and tastes like you slaved all day. and is served in lots of nice restaurants. we just love it.
Chicken Kiev is white meat pounded flat and wrapped around a hunk of herbed butter and breaded,so when you cut into the chicken the melted butter flows out onto the rice YUM!!!
Can't get much easier than this... There is also Chicken Cordon Blue with ham and Swiss cheese inside and also Broccoli and cheese one. In the same freezer area.
No chopping no measuring no fuss!!!
Dessert Jello make a great no bake cheese cake

A ceasar salad - you can buy the salad, dressing and croutons.
a couple of boneless chicken breasts, brush them with ranch dressing when they are about half cooked, you can either fry them or just put them in the oven, and a rice dish, pick one that sound good out of the ready to cook boxes at the store. If you want a dessert pick up a couple of nice custard fruit topped tarts or something at a bakery. Don't forget a nice bottle of wine, or sparking juice. all simple minimal clean up.

Throw something on the grill and let him take charge. You can handle the mixed greens and baked potato and good fresh Italian bread. Berries for dessert and you're set! Both of you can participate in the cooking which makes it even more fun! Good Luck!
