Whenever you, as a Christian, try to use the Old Testament as a reference for anything, you get a slew of people telling you we are under grace, and you do not need the Old Testament any more?

So why don't they just rip it out of their books? They want to ignore all the the spiritual truths contained therein.

If Phillip used Isaiah to preach to the Ethiopian eunich, was he wrong?

Are all of the things that were called an abomination to God, now okay?

This seems to be what a lot of people want to think. Saved by grace, and do whatever you want.

The old testament was nearly impossible to live by, and modern day people do not even want to try. They also do not want to think of god as being a god who sets rules into place and expects that they be followed--it is much easier to see him as being Jesus who loved and forgave everybody and nothing more--you're obviously talking about all the Xians on here who follow the path of religion-made-easy. I don't think they should even be allowed to call themselves christians

There are alot of truths in Old Testament .Jesus died to reconcile us to GOD that is why some things have changed ie health rules . Any sin can be forgiven if you are truly repentant, we try to live like Jesus would so we don't do whatever we want but his will.

Jesus said; "I come not to destroy the Law but fullfill it." Therefore we as True Christians follow both the Old and New, for both speak of Christ Jesus and the Word of The Living God. If we are truly Christians the Law of God is written upon our hearts. As it says; "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand forever.

what;s the big deal bro?
the book or any other holy books have been misunderstood or not understood at all simply becoz no one knows or will ever knew and even if someone does, do u think his secrets will be allowed to be revealed unless of course god's willing
can't imagine what'll happen if his secrets exposed and to the wrong hands?
forget about rescripting word for word from the books but rather read the books to un-script for his answers
so what's the use of finger pointing other wrongs but point the finger at yourself and ask yourself truthfully

everyone needs to remeber that we are responsible for our actions.

the old testament is not void, just because our God is a forgiving God.
