We have a commitment to NATO, and as such we are bound to be there. I am a little unhappy that most of the other NATO "allies" aren't willing to pony up with troops and equipment like we have been doing, and it is my opinion if all NATO allies would give the same commitment as Canada, we all would be a lot better off. The Taliban has a saying, "You have the watches, but we have the time" so if we don't eliminate them, they will just come back and the country will be right back where they started.

Afghanistan has no oil. Keep no troops there.
They are fanatics and extremists. They dont like western
soldiers.
Moove troops to Iraq.
Make a good deal with US and UK : "At least 20% of Iraqi oil
goes to Canada else we leave forever".

I personally feel that the war needs to end. All forces should pull out. Let Iraq handle their own problems.
