You can get a part time job from 13 in the UK but you are limited on the hours you can work and when you can work. For example I don't think you can work Sunday's. However doing volunteer work is unpaid so those restrictions shouldn't apply! Which means you should be able to but obviously it's at the charity shops discretion as to whether or not they want to let a 14 year old work there. So I guess it depends on the shop really!

No,you have to be a old lady ,preferably over 80 so the manageress
does not have to worry about you being nosey.
