2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Is the Old Testament scripture? I hear a lot of people saying that you can ignore the Old Testament.

Jesus fulfilled the law of the sacrifices at Calvary when He offered a perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind. However, does this mean that the moral laws have changed?

Can you now rip Leviticus and Deuteronomy out of you bible, because they are no longer profitable? Does this mean now that God is pleased by anything that you do? You can be a murderer, but say "I believe", and you are fine?

Jam 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Then does this mean the devils are saved, because they believe?

But the Christian world of today say you just have to believe.

I know that the devils are irredeemable beings. They cannot die, so therefore they cannot be ressurrected in newness of life.

You have no argument with me.

I don't know where this idea that the old testament is no longer valid came from.

Levitical law was for the body of the Israelites specifically for dealing with social issues. The law delivered to Moses, especially the ten commandments, exists throughout time.

Matthew 5:17
Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to fulfill them.

The devil's belief that God exists isn't by faith, they know their lord is under the authority of God who will ultimately judge every word and deed. So should the Christian believer's attitude be. If we accept Jesus as a savior, we make Him our Lord as well; if we don't, we are bastards and not true sons, as the word speaks of elsewhere.

If God doesn't discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all.
Hebrews 12:8

Yes, the so-called "Old Testament" is scripture. The confusion lies in the practice of dividing up God's word the Bible into "Old Testament" and "New Testament" because of a mistranslation of 2 Corinthians 3:14. Paul was here referring to the law covenant - not the Hebrew scriptures in their entirety.

Besides, Romans 15:4 plainly states that all things written aforetime were written for our instruction so that through our endurance and through the comfort of the scriptures we might have hope. Notice it is written for our instruction: just like 2 Timothy - as you brought out.

And James 2:19, as you point out, makes it perfectly clear that just believing doesn't get you very far since the demons believe and yet they tremble. Do not rip out anything from your Bible - it is all the word of God.

Well the Bible says that Satan believes and trembles.......But he does not live for God there for can't be saved....And also in God's eyes ALL sin is equal!!! From the White house to the chicken house.....Murder in God's eyes is just as bad as a little white lie.....So yes ALL sinners can be saved........it is a free choice....there are some people that say these people can't be saved but I truly believe that they can........My God is a merciful God... So you need to decide what you believe so you can portray the life of Christ.....that is what the word Christian means....

Only true insofar as those statements are true.

Yes, all scripture. The word is all. Please do not take scripture out of context like "only believe". One must act on this belief to show faith.
