I have curly/wavy hair and side-swept bangs. I hate flat ironing it everyday and I know that soon my bangs are going to get very damaged. Is there an other way to get my bangs straight? or at least less curly? Please dont recommend flat ironing or chemical straightening..I dont want to damage my hair more than it already is..thanks!

i dont know if this is any help or if it will work for you... but i use the new herbal essences collection. i have tried most of the new ones out, and (like you) i have curly hair. if you use the "dangerously straight" shampoo/conditioner, and after the shower BRUSH it straight to dry and try not to let it curl (as in keep brushing periodically until it dries) and hopefully your bangs will be less curly... this shouldn't be too hard or time consuming because usually bangs dry faster than the rest of your hair!

when i was in highschool i used wear bangs everyday but i didnt have a dryer or a flat iron then. I used to brush them back with gel and then i went off to do other stuff, by the time i was ready to leave the house i would just comb my bangs out and they were really straight!

I agree with you on the damaging part! Not a good thing! Thanks to getting older and gray KILLING my image - I haven't a choice but to color it! However, if I were you - I would ask a beautician you can trust - they study that stuff and should know it inside and out! It's a GREAT question! Good luck!

use a round brush when you blow dry them...you can get a big one so their not really curly but you can direct it to strait...that way your not blowdrying it and flat ironing them...good luck...
