How are you? I am sorry to say that due to the "Privacy Act" and "Home Land Security" "YOU" cannot find out about one. Of course there are exceptions to everything. If it is a family member you can go to the Red Cross or the Pentagon and the specific branch of which they belong. Whoever the Soldier has listed will be notified. If a Soldier is injured word spreads like wildfire, so if you are not close enough to have been told, either they are not injured, or you have no need to know.

you cannot unless you are listed as the soldier's primary point of contcat(usually a spouse or parent). they must be notified in person first, before the information is released to the public.
