Usually around 3 - 4 ounces every three to four hours.

a newborn usually takes about 2 to 4 ounces every 3 to 4 hours or less time but probably no more than 4 ounces at a time and if he wants more than you can give him a little bit more.

I have a one month old baby too. And unless you have her on a schedule then she should drink as much as she wants it usually isn't more than three or four ounces as often as she wants.

My daughter seems to drink more in the morning and less at night. When she is awake and alert she will drink more and at night in between waking up from sleep she drinks less like two ounces. And she usually gets up every three or four hours.

Every baby is different. Typically they should eat about 3-4 ounces every feeding. You do need to feed them at a certain time. It is mother's instinct to know when they are hungry. You should be able to tell if they are hungry or not other wise fee your baby every couple hours. If they don't want it don't force it.

My kids had 4 ounces every 4 hours but you really need to ask a pediatrician who has examined your baby.

Congratulations on having a baby! Your Child Health Nurse should be able to advise you on how much formula and how often given the weight and age of your baby. If you'd like to continue or resume breastfeeding, check out
