Did you know when they questioned His command to bring bottles...mary replied..."do as He says"

What do you think of this? I think its proof that He was her Lord, too.

In the upper room
Act 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Act 1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about a hundred and twenty,)
(she was in the room here to )
Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Yes, I remember the account. When they ran out of wine, Mary, his mother, brought it to Jesus' attention. His reply was "What have I to do with you woman?" (John 2:4) This reply of Jesus is an ancient form of question that indicates an objection to what is suggested or proposed. Earlier he had been baptized and anointed with Holy Spirit. His direction now came from God and not from any human, even his own mother. Mary got the point and that is why she told the others "do as he says."

So yes, Jesus was Mary's Lord and Savior. Though still his mother, Mary was his disciple - no more and no less.

Jesus is the Son of God, and the 2nd Person of God, being God himself.

God created humans, thus creating Mary.

Mary conceived Jesus the power of the Holy Spirit (3rd Person of God). Mary gave birth to Jesus, thus giving birth to her creator.

Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she was to conceive the Savior. She knew all along that her son was divine. She knew He was her Lord through His entire earthly life. Not a new finding to me. Remember also that Jesus told her that it wasn't His time yet. She had Him perform His first miracle then. That's when His teachings began. She was with Him through it all, from birth to death and resurrection. Amazing woman, she is. That's why Catholic honor her. She was truy blessed by God right from the beginning. She was part of His plan of salvation before she was even conceived. That's way we honor and respect her so much. We don't worship her, only God. But she was a very important part of God's plan that she should be honored.

I think Mary beat Jesus severely when he was a child and caused brain injury which may or may not have resulted in his skitzophrenic state as an adult...but , it was 2000 years ago..kno1 can know for sure. He might have known what he was doing all along and knew people would be worshipping him if he spilled his magic tricks and preachings all over the place that dwelled on questions know1 can know the answer to by filling in the gap with the best possible thing he can think of Eternal joy and the worst, eternal hell and adding in the fear element of you will get one or the other if you believe what I am saying or don't. You know, he was a pretty smart guy...so I bet Mary just cowered down to him like a dog.

This story like so many other inspirational biblical stories has been embellished during the various translations. Recent research has proven that when Jesus said, "bring bottles", what he really said was "bring your own bottles". The miracle was that the people actually did. The water-to-wine story was added later when Christians were few and converts were needed.

Yes, Mary always points to her son. this is why we Catholics ask her to enlighten us when we pray the Rosary--we are meditating on Jesus' life through her eyes.

To all the people who say she is not co-redeemer--She is a member of the Body of Christ just like all believers. St. Paul calls himself a co-redeemer when he says he "Makes up in his body what is lacking in the suffering of Christ". All disciples are co-redeemers in a way--what did his poor Mother ever do to you for you to have such animosity towards her--or should I say ENMITY

Jesus turned water to wine at his own wedding. Reason, there is just one person allowed to take care of the wine at a Jewish wedding, the bridegroom at that time and still too. So simple is that!
