Including SOME Christians, you said. That's the key. There are percentages of Christians who are just plain Bad at being Christian.
I find the louder they are about their beliefs, the more faults and bigotry they are covering up. (I don't mean evangelists like Billy Graham who have proven their faith, but the guy you meet onthe street)

You are right that we should treat everyone with love an respect, and many speak to homosexuals in a way that is not in harmony with the Spirit of God! At the same time, if you have a friend that you love who is a homosexual, the best thing you can do is to lead him to the truth. And the truth is that homosexuality is indeed a sin that leads us away from God.
As for the trustworthiness of God's word, remember that Jesus Himself trusted in the Scriptures....He used it as His main defense against Satan when He was tempted in the desert. He also said, "I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” If we have faith in Jesus, how then can we not have faith in the Word of God? For it is even written of Jesus, "The Word became flesh and made its dwelling among us."

Few issues,
1. God does not exist.
2. Women and Men wrote the Bible and put their own prejudices into it.
3. Women and Men today who have anger in their heart read in the Bible and think God (which see #1) endorses their prejudices.
4. The human being is certainly entitled to its own prejudices, I don't know how to stop someone from hating another person, but the issue here is a collective group support for hatred based on a premise that it is in fact, God endorses.
Thanks for reading.

If the bible is slightly faulty, it means it is written by men. God is a perfect God & so gives out perfect things to us.
Would you say that God summoned a litrature writer to write all that he has written. what of the poet. ok. tell me, would say that God summoned you to ask this question. Sure, God influences you, if you believe that God is everything, including intelligent, wisdom etc. we are supposed to be talking about state of consciousness or awareness, or our relationship with God. are we getting closer to God or our we still far away.

I only look at the loving things in the Bible or anywhere else...some people...even Christians, would disagree with that, but I figure that if God is Love...then anything less than loving is not worth my spending time on. I believe that if God is love...He loves everyone. I don't want to be a practicing lesbian, but I do have a son that is gay...and I believe that God loves him and wants me to continue loving him too. It is hard enough to live a gay lifesyle without having condemnation from Christians or anyone else...God either loves us all or He cannot really be Love.
No one is perfect...we all have sinned...and I believe God still loves us and wants us to accept and love Him.

You don't get the gay thing. You mean you don't understand why gay intimacy is wrong? It is wrong because it falls under the umbrella term of fornication and fornication is wrong. Fornication is condemned in the Bible as unacceptable behavior.
You are to treat sinners with love. Remember the woman caught in the act of adultery? Jesus was not mean to her. But he DID tell her to sin no more. He neither denied her sin of fornication nor overlooked it.

The Bible is the Word of God, written by men of God, and protected by God against the minions of satan who would love to make changes.
Either you have faith in God to accept that He can protect ALL of His Word, or you doubt the ability of God and thus have no faith.
For those of you who decide to pick and choose which parts of the Bible you want to believe, who decided those picks you made?

I'm not gonna go into detail, I'm just gonna say YES! It is slightly faulty. But that's ok, it's been that way for a very long time and it will never change, we just have to accept it the way it is.

It's not your job to understand all the complicated nuances of the Holy Bible, just like it's not expected that you could understand the complicated events of the modern world. That's why you have a Pastor. Let him (or her) explain these things to you.
