The theory is that if one were to keep their eyes open during a sneeze, the pressure built in your sinuses would pop your eyes right out of your head
or to be funny:P
It's the body's natural defense to keep the crap spewing out of our mouth/nose, from entering our eyes and causing an irritation or infection.

Newton's Third Law Of Motion states that "to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."
Keeping the above law in mind, it is observed that when one sneezes, the force with which the person sneezes(action) is enough to create a reaction which can be the popping out of the person's eyeballs. So, to avoid such a disaster, the eyelids INVOLUNTARILY close when sneezing.

Because they don't have a choice. Even if you try to hold your eyes open while sneezing they will still close. It's a reflex and reflexes are really hard to get rid of.

Cos the fee of your sneeze will make your eyes fly outta their socket,a sneeze is quicker than a bullet,in case you want to disprove this please tape open your eyes next time you want to sneeze,and take a image deliver me the end result,in case you will discover it.

It's an involuntary reaction. You can not keep them open. The urban myth that your eyes would pop out is not true however.

It is literally impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. It's just 'built in' to our body reactions. Can you wiggle your ears while you burp??

The pressures are so great the eyes could pop out (at least, that's what I've heard)

because the force is so great if they dont your eyes will pop out of your head, dont try doing ot though its impossivle, its a uncontrolable reaction that you have nothing to do with
