i am going for my honeymoon in new zealand,it is my first visit,i have two weeks to go.?

where are the best places to visit in new zealand in january which i understand is summer time?i havent any clue,where would be romantic?

Depends on what you are into, LOTS of things are packed into this small country. The first thing that comes to mind for romantic is the drive through the South Otago penninsula, start in Dunedin and end in Queenstown. Rent a car in Christchurch and drive down to Dunedin so you can stop at some of the small towns and the Boulders along the way. Get advice and maps from tourist centre in Dunedin. -- I did a penguin watch once that I really enjoyed and I think that was in Oamaru (one of the small towns along the way). All of the tourist centres are great so stop and ask advice. Kaikoura (if you can find a nice B&B) would be romantic as well. Nice quaint town, horseback riding , boating, whale watching, shark / seal diving. Best: Fly a small plane over the water & whales with the local flight club. --The Wearable Arts Awards may be going on around that time too, search & get tickets on the web. MUST have tickets far ahead of time. Great show. -- Waitomo Caves are wonderful if you are not afraid of heights. Queenstown is beautiful and lots of adventure activities, including base jumping, parasailing, speed boats (fun), bungee, and other. -- Get some guidebooks from your local library. The activities don't change a lot of year to year so older books are okay to see what you might like. CALL AHEAD and book all activities, events, & lodging early..it is summer season.

Auckland the largest city is a bit cliche and you wont find anything original.. it is a large city just like in larger countrys....
The Malbrough sounds would be a great place to travel .. yaughts, boats, vineyards, resorts, lush scenery!
