Really? And how do you scientifically prove a negative? That in all the universe, known and unknown, there cannot be such a thing as a God?

My friend, are you so desperate to believe that you will hold onto your faith even as we push God further and further away from our lives?

In all the universe - let's say there's a god on Jupiter. What use is that to you?

I have no comment on the 'whole universe'. But there is no god in my life. That's enough for me.

It ought to be enough for everyone.

Statistically speaking, the idea of 1 god would have to prove itself against the idea of no god, 2 gods, 3 gods, 4 gods, 5 gods etc.

And you are right, you cant prove whether god exists or not; this is not a question science can answer because science has its tool limitations. I dont know any real scientific method scientist bold enough to say that and have proof of god or no god.

The approach to both science and religion are seperate; there may be scientific research that can be done to explore the historical events mentioned in the bible but that doesnt mean that god exists or not. In reverse, religion cant assert scientific truth without following scientific inquiry.

And science itself leaves itself open to an idea that sounds more valid. The woman who said the bones were KFC bones... if it were religion, it would firmly state it were million year old bones instead of accepting the possibly idea that it is chicken bone.

Just because an idea stands strong and declares itself never wrong, doesnt mean that it was right to begin with. Science begins with, we know nothing...how can we prove things happen the way they are. And yes, evolution would tell you where man came from if you believe in the evidence provided.

I agree with you! There is so much out there that we have no idea even exists. It's mind blowing to think about it all! I feel so much more comfortable in believing that God (or an intelligent being) created it all versus the possibility that somewhere in space two atoms came from no where and rammed into each other and started the universe. Space is HUGE! Mathmatically what would be the chance that these two atoms would meet? Math is a science, right? It's have to be something like 1:999,999,999,999,999,999,999,...... chance that this would happen. The thought that there is a God, a supreme being, a supernatural force, an entity, something, whatever it is, is more logical to me than a "chance meeting". I do truly believe that God exists. But, IF there is a chance that He doesn't, then my years of believing haven't done me any wrong.

I would rather believe in God and find out that I was right versus not believing and find out that I was wrong. Believing in God does not harm but it can make a huge difference in your life and for eternity.

Atheist's don't claim to have proof there is no god. We simply lack the belief that there is a god. There is lots of evidence to support the idea that god does not exist, and it is a lot stronger than any of the evidence to the contrary. Any "proof" or argument I've ever heard in favor of a gods existence has either been pure guesswork, a manipulation of facts, or a total non-sequetur.

scientific belief now is with information in human genetics is found to be put there by a much more intelligent being..placing information within as humans do to computers. The computer is complex and did not evlove but was created...how could you believe that something as such as life evolved on it's own..humans are intelligent but not that intelligent.Besides if you get to know our father you can feel his presence and see his works.

though i develop into raised in a Catholic kinfolk, I by no skill felt any form of draw to the religion, or to their god. My mom develop into fairly accepting of my lack of conception, telling me that it develop into ultimate that i hit upon my personal beliefs than following hers basically because they were what her kinfolk were practising for generations. After a lot concept, conversations with Christians and historic study, I extremely have stumbled on better of the religion to be managed through guy with little to no evidence of their god. I comprehend faith does no longer elect evidence, yet all i will see traditionally is a company that develop into created for societal administration. i'm no longer hostile to Christians, lots of them are very strong people (there are exceptions in each and every team), I do basically no longer percentage their faith, and that i by no skill have. that's not a doubt, because I extremely have by no skill believed. yet trust me, i extremely did attempt to trust. I attended many diverse church homes, and listened to many diverse religous leaders. nonetheless no longer some thing. i'm finished with theology now, yet that would not propose that i'm no longer religious. that's form of perplexing to describe, which (i'm fairly particular) would not precisely outline my conception structure as atheism, yet.... i do not understand. that's what that's. I do basically not understand.

It's more of a paradigm that atheists maintain; they won't claim any truth or support any belief that isn't founded upon evidence.

We don't have to prove a negative; in just the same way, we don't have to prove that Santa Clause doesn't exist. All reasonable and rational people come the same conclusion.

We dont argue that any theoretical god can be disproved with science. We use science to disprove biblical fallacies like creationism. But we accept that the easter bunny, toothfairy, god, and santa claus cannot be proven or disproven to exist.

You can't disprove the existence of God, I mean, theres always the chance that he can exist. We can never know until we die.

Atheists can, however, disprove the existence of religion and the 'God' that certain religions believe in.

Atheists believe there is no God by faith, since they can't prove it. That makes it a faith-based belief, which is the definition of a religion. Therefore, they do have a religious belief that they can't prove.

And THAT makes them a bunch of hypocrites.
