Kinda cheesy, but I do have a friend whose middle name is November and was born at the first of that month. It's kind of cute, but yes, cheesy. It wouldn't be so bad as long as she's not early or late. Might be silly to name a kid April when she's born in March or May.

I like the name April but imagine the responses she will get from people when they find out her birthday is in April. Can you find a derivative of April?

April Marie is a nice name. I picked out the name for my daughter
Crystal Dawn and she later found the name book where I had the
different choices and she said she like Cassandra the best. My
wife would ask "Did you have a girlfriend by that name?" with every name I picked out. Cassandra got booted out because it
is the real first name of Elvira, Mistress of the dark.

i would think of something a lil more original. i mean... i am due in april as well and i have 2 other children and the most commen questions asked when filling out any kind of paper work etc. is name, date of birth and address. who wants their birth month and name to be the same?! i would just do something a lil more unique.

Just consider her going through life with the name April. also consider nicknames she could get

I think whatever you want to do is great (Congrats!) but I think you should put a little more thought into the name; maybe April could be her middle name.

It's a nice name but just to let you know, name 'April' is synonymous with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because of the journalist character, April O'Neil. However the series is pretty ancient so your daughter probably won't get teased.

That is a cute name.
Practice saying the name outloud and decide how you would like to have that name yourself.
I have known people named April so it is not an unusual name and people will recognize it and not have to say - how do you spell that? Which is a good thing.

April is a pretty name but it depends on your last name.You wouldn't want to name her April
if your last name is showers, or rain, moon. You get my drift? Congrats!
