Can't see why not. When many countries are in battle world wide, that constitutes a World War.
The Geo-political climate has changed since the Cold War days. The Soviet Union is no more, but that does'nt mean they're weak.
Then there are the emerging powers, like China, India, etc. that may prove to be a problem down the road. Also those rogue countries that may acquire a nuclear weapon someday may decide to detonate one, which could quickly escalate to a limited nuclear exchange between countries with a good stockpile.

Unfortunately and sadly i think it is possible....But u know what ..Don't look too far ahead. I suggest doing what you can n being the best person u can be to people around u esp the ones u love...
Truthfully, .Its scares me sometimes to think tht i can be involve in a real on going war..but its best not to dwell on it too much or it'l wreck ur brain
Let's pray for World peace and maybe, just maybe if everyone tks some time to ponder on the hatred around us and ask for God Almighty's forgiveness and help, He may spare us this World war we all dread

If North Korea will not change their attitude towards testing their atomic bomb and the atmosphere in Iraq...perhaps it's possible to have one world war coming.

already the war has began .. this is what i see. war of economics . the actions of government of america amd the western world sholud be cautious. just think about the rise of osama bin laden..
the americans are having a foreign policy which says if they are threatened they will destroy the world first and then will die ....there wll be a war .. and it has started last century itself

yes it is possible if there will be no restriction to the development of nuclear weapons by different countries.this short of thing will surely lead to a war and that will be naturally a world war................
